Professional Wrapping for CD or DVD Cases

January 2006: To compliment their existing range of desktop disc packaging systems, Verity Systems launches the Speed Wrapper for CDs, designed to provide a high speed and high throughput professional wrapping system for CD Jewel cases with a low cost investment. Its predessor, the DVD Speed Wrapper was launched in May 2005, and has proven to be an increasingly popular choice with our customers.

There are of course already specialized machines that apply neat, cellophane wrappings to large quantities of CDs and DVDs for the mass broadcasting and computer software companies, but as David Tucker, Verity System’s Managing Director explained, “Existing machines have been designed for the bulk market and cost many thousands of dollars. These Speed Wrappers have been developed for the medium to large producer of CDs or DVDs who require a better quality output than traditional shrink-wrapping offers. Typically, someone who wishes to output up to several thousand CDs or DVDs a day can now wrap these quantities of cases cost effectively, achieving a quality finish equal to the standard of the much more expensive and larger finishing machines”. The Speed Wrappers smaller size makes it an ideal fit where floor space is a valuable commodity.

The CD or DVD Speed Wrapper’s easy operation enables the unit to be used by all levels of operators. In both the CD and the DVD version, cases are simply placed into the input hopper and the start button depressed. The result is a professionally folded and sealed case suitable for even the best retail presentation and all this from just a few pence / cents per case.

The price for the CD Speed Wrapper is the same as the DVD version at £10,743 / €15,899. This presents a viable alternative to outsourcing disc production complimenting Verity Systems range of CD and DVD copying and printing equipment.
