Software Logistics opens new duplication centre to provide faster flexible service to customers April 2006 - Software Logistics, a single source supplier of digital media, print production and distribution services has opened a new state-of-the-art media centre to provide a faster and more flexible service to customers with requirements for urgent and low volume CD-ROM or DVD-ROM production. Conveniently located in High Wycombe on the M40 in the southeast of England, Software Logistics and its new media centre can provide customers with a quick turn around on the duplication of CDs or DVDs in addition to providing design, print and packaging production along with distribution services if required. Software Logistics has invested more than £100,000 in the new facility as part of a major investment programme. The media centre utilises the latest high-end duplication systems along with both Inkjet and Thermal label printing equipment from Verity Systems Ltd providing a daily output of over 60,000 digital media products. The installation also includes totally automated media insertion, cello wrapping and shrink-wrapping systems providing a daily output of over 145,000 packaged digital media products. Barry Hurley, Managing Director of Software Logistics said, “The new duplication centre means we can now provide an additional service to customers. The ‘On Demand’ ability of the service means that we can produce urgent titles in small quantities as and when required. We will continue to work with customers on the mainstream production of several thousands of CD-ROM and DVD-ROM products. However, this new facility will take care of ad-hoc and urgent jobs, therefore, providing a far more flexible solution. This is in line with our philosophy of being a single source supplier for all print and media production requirements whether large or small.” Rory Turner, Verity Systems UK Sales Executive, stated that “As one of the leading media manufacturing companies in the UK we are delighted that Software Logistics has chosen Verity Systems as its partner for this project. They exemplify the large scale CD and DVD production possible with our desktop disc duplication and printing equipment. We continue to maintain an excellent working relationship thanks to the technical expertise on hand at their new media centre and our shared commitment to cost effective and fast solutions for customers.” Turner went on to point out that Software Logistics is a great example of on-demand production, providing a viable alternative to screen printing while still offering a service for smaller scale CD and DVD production.
